by: Daniel Riehs

SALT LAKE CITY—In preparation for the 19th Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, IOC representatives announced the opening of three brand new lifts, including "a state-of-the-art quad lift." These improvements are only part of the $300,000 building project that was implemented for the winter games.

"Utah is now up to 80 percent snowmaking," stated Steven Stiles of the Utah Committee. "We've also installed several new lights for our night skiers, and refurbished our 30-foot 'Superpipe.'"

Stiles went on to describe the lodge's new cafeteria menu which features "hoagies" and "all varieties of hot dog."

While every businesses that depends on the weather is risky, most experts agree that athletes will flock to Utah this year in favor of it's "family-friendly atmosphere that fits easily into any country's budget."
