The Airport Report

by: Daniel Riehs

NEW YORK—Steven Phillips, a spokesperson for JFK International Airport, recently talked to reporters about the airport's success in implementing new security procedures outlined by the FAA.

"Since January 1, every person whom we have caught carrying contraband has been arrested," Phillips said. "In fact, I am aware of no person who has boarded a plane from this airport after breaching security."

This news came as a great relief to travelers who, in recent months, have been anxious about terrorists sneaking past ignorant, overconfident security onto passenger jets.
