The Candy Report
by: Daniel Riehs
ORLANDO, Fla.Thirty-two-year-old Jason Masters just recently noticed the absence of tan M&Ms in the M&M production run.
"I was just sitting there, in the park, when I thought, 'Didn't they used to make tan M&Ms?'"
As many people know, M&M Mars® replaced their tan colored M&Ms with the more attractive blue-colored ones 1995. While much publicity was given to the addition of the new color, many candy fans failed to notice the disappearance of the tan ones.
"I actually think its kind of sad. The tan M&Ms worked so hard for so many years, and then they were replaced without so much as a proper goodbye. I feel so disillusioned."
Seven years is long time to pass before being missed.
