The Roller-Coaster Report
by: Daniel Riehs
PITTSBURGHJanet Fringe, 34, recently kept her hands and arms inside the train while riding Kennywood's "Thunderbolt" roller coaster.
"It was a neat ride, with lots of dips," reported Fringe at a recent press conference. "I held on to the lap bar the whole time."
While experts are divided, many believe that this will not be the last time Fringe keeps her hands and arms inside a moving thrill ride.
"I'm taking my son to Cedar Point in August," said Fringe. "That's going to be fun."
In 1996, Philadelphia-postal-worker Stan Frankly raised his arms on a ride at Six Flags Great Adventure. He is still without the use of his left leg.
