The Comedy Report

by: Daniel Riehs

CLEVELAND—Seventeen-year-old high school junior Matthew Taylor has the first line of his stand-up comedy routine completed, sources reported.

The line, which reportedly involves the use of at least one prop, has been in the works for at two weeks, Taylor's classmate Jimmy Franklin told reporters.

"I've never understood Matt," Franklin said. "He's kind of shy, and really isn't that funny. I don't know why he wants to be a comedian."

Experts have expressed uncertainty when asked whether or not Taylor's routine will "be the break he's been looking for."

"I am uncertain," said one expert.
