The Scattergories Report

by: Daniel Riehs

TUCSON, Ariz.—A group of University of Arizona students unanimously decided that crushed ice was a thing and therefore a legal answer for the Scattergories category "things that are cold" Tuesday.

"See, usually we don't allow people to stick adjectives in front of their answers," said sophomore Cindy Waters, "For instance, I would not have been able to say 'cute ice,' because there is no type of ice that is intrinsically cute."

Waters then continued, "But crushed ice, on the other hand, has an essence all its own. It is a thing and therefore can be used legally. Cubed ice would another example."

"Wait a minute, that also begins with 'C.' Damn it, I can't believe I didn't think of any of these."

Scattergories is a board game popular among the scatter[gories]-brained.
