LOS ANGELES—NASA announced Tuesday that information collected from the building of both the "Spirit" and "Opportunity" Mars rovers will be used to manufacture "really cool robots that will be able to fight with each other."
"Just think of all the cool stuff we'll be able to do," said mission manager Mark Adler. I think I'm going to make one with a big circular saw on it so that I can cut up other robots.
The new projects will be funded by a $4 billion robot-fighting grant recently passed by Congress.
