LOS ANGELES—Mel Gibson's new movie "The Passion of the Christ," is causing a resurgence in the popularity of Jesus, sources reported Tuesday.
According to sources, people all around the Los Angeles area are beginning to gather and speak about Jesus.
One particularly devoted group has even been seen distributing wafers for consumption that have been transformed into the body of Christ.
A Mel Gibson spokesperson said that Gibson would prefer that viewers show their allegiance to the movie in more traditional ways, such as by playing with Jesus action figures and carrying around Jesus lunch boxes.
