NEW YORK—Columbia University sophomore Julie Rivers couldn't believe that there was a guy in the study lounge during girls' hour, sources reported.
"I saw him looking around at everyone in the room," Rivers told reporters after the incident. "I wonder if he realized that he was the only guy in the room. He must have been pretty freaked out."
Dormitory spokesperson Allison Myers told reporters that she was not too worried about the incident.
"The guy must not have received the email. It's not a big deal. This is the first time that we were trying 'girl's hour,' and there are no plans to repeat it."
Myers then added, "I'm starting to get freaked out. Do you realize that we're the only white people in this room?"
