Davis, Bustamante Upset That Popular Guy Leads Polls
by: Daniel Riehs
LOS ANGELESArnold Schwarzenegger came under fire from California's top two elected Democrats Tuesday, who charged that the actor-turned-candidate was only leading the polls because of his popularity.
A Schwarzenegger campaign official quickly released a statement reminding Davis and Bustamante that they were "just a couple of nerds with no friends who wore pocket protectors and did all sorts of stupid nerd stuff."

"I'm not a nerd," said Davis on ABC News's This Week. Davis also took time during the interview to respond to Schwarzenegger's claims that Davis had no friends and was a total stupid-head.
"You're the stupid-head," said Davis.
Schwarzenegger, who gained political prominence by staring in numerous popular movies, has been running on the platform of "Lots of energy for everyone, and no stupid nerds."
Although skeptics have pointed at the actor's lack of experience in politics, most have eventually come to the conclusion that dweebs like Davis and Bustamante would just continue taxing people and being gay.
"You can't just give people energy," Bustamante told reporters. "There are logistics to think about. . . . Hey, give me back my glasses!"
Responded Schwarzenegger, "Why don't you try to take them back, nerd boy?"
At our deadline, the consensus among experts seemed to be that actor Gary Coleman would eventually walk away with the win in the California gubernatorial race.
"Everyone's just going to vote for him as a joke," said one political analyst. "That's the way these things usually work out. No one really cares, anyway."
